VILLA PILLO

A wine that is born in the vineyard and grows in the cellar

The Villa Pillo estate covers about 400 hectares between Gambassi Terme, Castelfiorentino and Montaione, embracing a large section of Stage 30 of the Via Francigena, the one between San Miniato and Gambassi.

Founded in the 18th century by the Marchesi Incontri, the historic winery is internationally renowned for its fine wines, which, under the more recent management of John and Kathe Dyson, have won numerous awards from the trade press.

Since 1989, the winery has been owned by the American couple, who have been involved in the restoration of the estate and the renewal of wine production, blending traditional, Californian methods and innovative techniques.

Of the approximately 50 hectares of vineyards, 40 have already been completely replanted, based on the development of the typical Sangiovese cultivation and the introduction of well-known French varieties such as Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
