Welcoming is our raison d’être
In Tuscany, the recovery of a place rich in history consecrates a new concept of hospitality, taste and beauty.
In Gambassi Terme, in this very place of trade, once a crossroads of interests and business, a farmhouse was languishing in the sadness of abandonment, abused over the years by various activities but ready to be dusted off from the specter of loneliness to shine with new vivid light.
When Massimo and Roberta saw it, proud and decaying, they saw its future, in a bold vision, imbued with a force for revitalization, a willingness to change its space and to make welcoming its raison d’être. A place of wellness, veracious cuisine and beauty everywhere.
Let’s take a step back: Roberta Mazzaccheri and Massimo Farioli, wife and husband, visual merchandising she-with 30 years of experience in the Moncini Art Gallery in Montecatini-and sales manager in footwear he. They decided to break a predetermined path and make a bold choice.
For Roberta and Massimo, Osteria del Castagno became a fixed and persistent goal: “I firmly knew,” says Roberta, “that reevaluating this place to the fullest and not just exploiting it commercially would bring that now hidden and sad beauty back into the air.
After much recovery and organizational work, in August 2016, the Osteria saw the light, and from that day on, its kitchen has been continually searching for quality products, accomplices being the nearby farms, Simone Gozzi’s recipes, his refined cooking, and the scenic attention to the room settings.
