Trekking to discover the secret Gambassi

Walking like old pilgrims along a part of the medieval anti-trail of the Via Francigena you will be led to discover the hypothermal springs that have always been frequented by the local population for the therapeutic properties of their waters.
Continuing the walk among the ruins of ancient mills and medieval furnaces, accompanied only by the sounds of nature, you will discover the incredible story of the hermit Maurizio, a tailor and barber from Gambassi who in the early 1900s retired in solitude to a ravine on the Casciani stream, where you can still admire the remains of statues and daily life.
The activity is suitable for children 8 years and older and over 65, the activity is not accessible to clients with disabilities. The trail has a length of about 9.5 km and the activity is for experienced hikers only.
The proposed activity is simple accompaniment, so each participant is responsible for his or her own mental and physical preparedness and condition. The route is on nature trails, with uneven ground and varying elevation gain, where there may be risk of falling and there is high physical commitment.
IMPORTANT: Guides have statutory liability insurance. Excursion participants are NOT covered by personal accident insurance.
Prices
Adults:
- 20€ (2 to 4 people);
- 15€ (5 to 10 people).
To participate in the hike, it is recommended to wear long pants, comfortable clothing, hat, and bring a backpack, water at least 1 liter, trekking poles and camera. Organization and coordination of activities by qualified Environmental Guide according to L.R.86/2016. The Guide reserves the right to modify or cancel the hike in case of adverse weather, risky situations and/or unforeseen events for participants.
